How to - obsession: jars

Hello everyone!

So I know I haven't been blogging in a while because, to tell the truth I haven't had any ideas what to blog on! suggestions would be great! :)

Lately I have had this obsession with recycling jars and using them for storage random I know! But I just think they look so cute and can really dress up a room. Anyway here's what I did! :)
You will need:

Step one

Turn over your printed design and draw around the lid of your jar.

Step two

Roughly cut around this circle leaving a 1 - 2cm gap.

Step three
Cut small lines from the edge of the circle to the line, all the way around.

Step four

Cover the whole piece with glue.

Step five
Place the lid on the glued circle.

Step six

Bend each flap into the lid.

Step seven
If you like draw around the lid once more on a plain piece of paper and cut out. Then glue this in side the lid.

Wait for the glue to be bone dry before putting on you jar.

You can also add ribbons and other accessories to jazz up your jar to your taste!

I find these so handy to have on my desk and they look so cute. Well I hope you enjoyed this very simple how to blog and get recycling your jars!
I would also like to tell you guys that I have opened a new instagram: @cutevintage_ox please go and check it out! :)

VERY LATE!

Hello again people!
Sorry this is a really late post but its not to late to start a memory jar!
As you have guessed today's blog is going to be about the memory jar I have made. If you don't know what a memory jar is, its a decorated jar that you can put post its in with memories on, photographs, tickets and anything you have to remind you of that memory! On new years eve you can then open that jar and look through everything to remember what a great year you've had!
Anyway lets quit the chat!
So here is my memory jar!

Things I used:
Printed lettering
Paper bag
Red ribbon

Everything I used was already in my house so I didn't go out to buy anything special for it feel free to though!

For the brown background I took a Brown paper shopping bag and cut it into a long strip big enough to fit around the jar.
Once you have the right length cover the strip in PVA glue and roll your jar along the strip so that it wraps around it.

I like to wait so that the glue is completely dry before doing anything else!
I found this really cute red ribbon and tied it in a bow towards the top of the jar.

For the lettering I used the photo editing website picmonkey
The font is: Special Elite.
I then printed this off cut it out in the shape of a bubble and stuck it on.

Finished yayyy!

Mini Lush haul

Hii everyone!
So i'm back already, I just couldn't resist!
After I posted my 'Why start a blog' on Sunday morning I went out shopping for the rest of the day.
One of the things you need to know about me is that i'm a bit addicted to Lush so I popped in to have a quick moochy and came out with 4 products I have never tried.

The first thing I picked up is this solid sugar scrub and it smells amazing!

It says: Use the bar straight onto your skin, but take it easy at first, until you find out your preferred level. For a gentle scrub the wetter you get yourself and the bar before, the softer it will be - because warm water will allow the sugar to start to dissolve a little before it hits your skin.

To be honest I don't care if it works or not because I just love the smell so and i'm sitting here right now inhaling the Delicious fragrance.
The sent is grated ginger and fresh fennel that probably sounds an odd sent but believe me it smells like heaven!

Next up I bought the solid Jungle conditioner, i'd been umming and arring whether to get this so in the end I just decided to get it!

The fragrance is really exotic and zingy but at the same time it sort of smells relaxing and calming! (i'm not arguing with that!) They say they based the sent on fruits and coco butter which must explain the zingy but calm sent going through my head.

Instructions on the label: Solid hair conditioner featuring tropical fruits for all hair types, shampoo as normal, massage on and work through the rinse out.
I have heard so many people recommending this product on reviews as it is so easy to use and has a very positive effect on there hair.
Lets hope it works well for me, I think I might have to join in and blog a review on this product!

I also picked up the T'eo deodorant because I've never tried a deodorant from lush before and was especially interested in a solid one.
It just says: Rub gently on dry armpits , covering whole area.
I don't love the sent but i'm really just judging it on the performance it gives. I think it smells like a raw fresh lemon and it has very strong sent but that's what you look for inn a deodorant right!? Anyway lush says the sent is tea tree and lemon.

So the final product my friend asked me to pick up for her and it's the Eau Roma water toner. I'm going to tag Brooke to do a review on this so keep a look out on her blog!

Why start a Blog?

Hello everyone whose reading this right now!

So I set it as one of my New Years resolutions to start a blog and try to post on it frequently. I guess from reading other peoples blogs it has inspired me to go out and try something different.
I almost have this serge of excitement when I see someone on my reading list has published a new post. Its intriguing to find out what they have to say about certain things and I really enjoy reading them. So I was thinking if I feel this way about reading peoples blogs then many more must also feel this way to. I have many experiences to come and things to say so I figured it would be a good idea to share them on my first ever blog!
So this post has been a short one but I hope you will keep reading my blogs as there are many more to come.
Thanks for reading!
